Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know before booking
your dog or cat with Kuruba.
Booking & Availability
The easiest way is to book online through our Book Now page — choose your dates, tell us your pet’s details, and you’ll receive an instant confirmation email. It only takes a couple of minutes.
Yes, especially during busy periods such as school holidays. We recommend booking as early as possible so we can confirm availability for your dog or cat.
Yes. If you’d rather speak to us directly, you can call us on 07885 639774. As we’re often outside with the animals, please leave a message if we miss your call and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can.
Dog Boarding
Only when it’s genuinely right for them. Every dog is assessed individually, drawing on our decades of hands-on behavioural experience. Sociable, well-matched dogs can enjoy supervised play and exercise together — but if we feel there’s any chance a dog could be reactive or unsettled around other dogs, they are never mixed. Unfamiliar dogs never share sleeping kennels, and dogs from the same household can stay together where suitable.
Dogs staying with us are walked twice a day. We aim to keep their stay calm, settled and consistent.
We ask for important details such as breed, age, health conditions, behaviour notes, feeding requirements, medication, vaccination dates and the dates you need boarding.
Vaccinations & Health
Yes. We require proof of relevant vaccinations before your pet stays with us. For dogs, this includes kennel cough vaccination. Please bring or send vaccination details before arrival.
Please let us know about any medication, health conditions or special care requirements when you book. We’ll review the details and let you know if we can safely care for your pet.
Drop-off & Collection
Yes. All drop-offs, collections and visits are by appointment only so we can keep the animals settled and make sure someone is available to meet you.
